Founded in 1997, McTech Corp has quickly earned a reputation for quality and service that has enabled the company to grow and expand across the Midwest and Southeast. The First Baptist Church has been a landmark in downtown Dallas since its inception in 1868. As the population of Dallas swelled throughout the years, the modest church on Akard Street has been transformed into a stately religious institution with a sprawling campus that is now badly in need of an upgrade.

When planning the construction of a new school, a school district’s primary focus is to ensure the building is structured to encourage students’ best performance. This was the desire of the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) in Texas when it was planning the construction of the Jean McClung Middle School. But it also wanted to create a school building that itself was be high-performing.

In designing and building a structure for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) that will help transform the way renewable energy connects to the grid, it only makes sense that the energy efficiency of the building itself is a paramount concern.

Foundation work is underway on a new high school that will meet the educational needs of the growing community of Merced, Calif. General contractor Bernards Construction of San Fernando, Calif., is pouring slabs and footings for four of the nine interconnected buildings that will make up the campus of El Capitan High School. The $94 million, 250,000-square-foot school will be Merced Union High School District's third high school in the city, which has a population of nearly 80,000 people. The city is in the agriculturally productive San Joaquin Valley and near Yosemite National Park.

Bogner Construction Co. has been around for 114 years and it has remained family owned and operated just as long. It also boasts a list of repeat clients with whom it has developed relationships for the past century. In fact, Ohio’s The College of Wooster, which was the University of Wooster when Bogner first performed masonry work there, repeatedly has hired Bogner to work on its campus since 1901. To date, Bogner has performed 30 jobs new projects and total facility renovation projects for the college, as well as hundreds of smaller projects, including additions, remodeling, partial renovations and site improvements. Now it is back for its current, but likely not its last major construction project at the school.

With more than 34,000 citizens and soldiers worldwide, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) strives to make sure that U.S. servicemen have the proper facilities that they need. And that is exactly what it is working for on its projects at Fort Stewart, Ga.
