RLH Construction operates with the mission of surrounding itself with incredible people, including its staff. “We have the best people in the construction industry,” the company declares.
“Our people bring great value to the projects we build, and we empower them to be a voice of the company as well as the community,” RLH continues. “We enjoy our jobs and try to share that by serving our clients, vendors and subcontractors and volunteering our time.”
Based in Oviedo, Fla., RLH specializes in general contracting, construction management and design/build services. The firm, which started operations in 1991, specializes in retail, commercial, institutional and multifamily projects in the Southeast and in central Florida.
RLH offers many of its services under the umbrella of general contracting. “From pre-construction design recommendations and estimating to permitting assistance and value-engineering, our diverse team of skilled professionals maintain the highest level of quality control management throughout the construction process,” it says.
This includes design/build, which comprises all phases of the project from design to completion. “We work with governmental and jurisdictional authorities to minimize the project risk for the owner and reduce the delivery schedule,” the company says.
RLH is one of the largest automotive dealership builders in the southeastern United States, with several dozen locations in its portfolio. “Whether hired for a new renovation or new construction, RLH is prepared to coordinate manufacturer requirements, equipment vendors and owner expectations by using some of the most experienced automotive resources in the industry,” it says.
The company is applying those same resources to a new Hyundai of Central Florida location in Clermont, Fla. RLH broke ground on the 38,865-square-foot building last year.
A Proven Record
RLH has excelled in its work in the commercial market since 1991. “Our commercial portfolio includes hundred-thousand-square-foot distribution facilities, corporate offices, renovations of retail plazas to large box retail,” the company says.
“RLH has a proven track record and continues to build long-lasting relationships in the commercial industry,” it says. Recently, RLH started construction on a new, 100,000-square-foot tortilla manufacturing facility for Easy Foods Inc. in Kissimmee, Fla.
The Right Expertise
RLH also excels in multifamily work with more than 25 years’ experience in the sector. “The multifamily industry has been a key growth factor for the success of RLH,” the company declares.
The company’s expertise makes it familiar with the coordination and supervision needed to finish high-caliber projects on time. “RLH has provided solutions to hundreds of multifamily properties across the southeastern United States,” it says.
RLH’s current multifamily projects include Park Hill Townhomes in Winter Park, Fla., which it broke ground on in 2016. “The project consists of 10 exclusive luxury townhomes that will be located on the southeast corner of North Park Avenue and Whipple Avenue across from the Winter Park Country Club, with seven of the units directly on Park Avenue,” the company says.
“Winter Park Magazine has dubbed this as ‘a legacy on Park Avenue,’ and we here at RLH are more than excited to be named the general contractor for this project,” the firm says. The project is scheduled to finish this year.
Making Bright Futures
RLH takes time to contribute to charities. “We support non-profit organizations whose missions align with our philanthropic priorities: children, industry education and our local community,” it says.
The company believes that community involvement allows it to actively live its values, use its resources and talents to improve lives, and construct strong communities. “Our people bring great value to the projects we build – and the community we serve,” RLH states.
RLH recently sponsored the Making the Difference 2nd annual poker tournament. “The proceeds collected will have a direct impact on our community by helping to support several local non-profit partners, including Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels and Children’s Home Society, just to name a few,” it says.
The company also recently finished third in an athletic event held by Charity Challenge, which brings together teams from the hospitality and apartment industries. “For many businesses, Charity Challenge has proven to be a remarkable way of becoming more involved in the community while achieving high visibility for such a positive undertaking,” RLH says.
Through the events, the company explains, firms get more exposure while providing resources to the charity of their choice. “The Charity Challenge staff, volunteers and participants work together to provide charities with the outlet they need to make a bring future for the community,” RLH says.
