Kansas-based Performance Contracting Group (PCG) serves customers nationwide through its operating companies Performance Contracting Inc. (PCI), Performance Abatement Services (PAS), Masthead International Inc., and Performance Contracting International Inc. (PCI). PCG has been ranked eighth among the top-600 U.S. specialty contractors and the No. 1 wall and ceiling company by Engineering News-Record. The employee-owned company says its core values are safety, quality performance, integrity, treating employees equitably, entrepreneurial spirit, customer alignment and being a fun company to work for. PCG offers a range of services through its various operating companies. PAS, for example, offers asbestos and lead abatement services, mold remediation, build-back, as well as soft demolition services. Masthead International offers printing press and precision machinery erection, semiconductor tool installation, graphic arts electric services and electrical contracting. PCI has completed projects overseas, including in Mexico, Sweden, Korea, Egypt, Ireland, Spain and Saudi Arabia. The division works on interior cleanroom construction around the world through a joint-venture agreement with Ardmac-PCI, a specialty contractor located in Ireland. PCI’s services include:
New Acquisition PCG says its Performance Abatement Services company had worked with Democon for several years in the Seattle area prior to the acquisition. “Because of their great working relationship, joining forces seemed like the best approach for them to maximize their combined construction capabilities, enhance their competitiveness in the market, and offer better services and more competitive costs to their customers,” the company says. Guy Hampton founded Democon in 1996 and grew the company to become a leader in the demolition industry in the Pacific Northwest, PCG says. “I couldn’t be more excited about this acquisition and the opportunities it offers not only my employees but our customers, as well,” Hampton said in a statement. “I started Democon with the intent to build a new company that stood for honesty, integrity and quality. “I feel that PCG offers these same principles, and I look forward to growing and expanding PCI Democon to be the leader in the industry.” Hampton will be the area manager for PCI Democon. Democon specialists remove entire buildings or selectively strip interiors of buildings in preparation for new construction. “They have extensive experience in the demolition of existing buildings in occupied spaces as well as in difficult projects requiring the skills of experienced management and field personnel,” PCG explains. “They will continue to provide demolition services from their current offices in Woodinville but will now offer services to a larger customer base.” “The addition of PCI Democon to our growing list of PCG companies will enhance our construction capabilities at a time when we are experiencing significant growth and expansion,” Craig Davis, PCG president and CEO, said in a statement. “The new company will allow us to add specialized demolition services to our specialty contracting business and harness the valuable experience of Democon’s demolition specialists.” |
