![]() G.E. Johnson has provided construction services for more than 40 years.
When it comes to construction, Colorado Springs, Colo.-based general contractor G.E. Johnson Co. gets downright philosophical. “Our vision, and that of many of our clients, is focused on the long view,” it explains. “The relationships we develop along the way are no less important to us than what we create together. It is this human element that we want our customers to seriously consider when they are envisioning their future.” That same element is the reason why the company has 85 percent repeat customers. It says its services are unparalleled, thanks to a vigilant commitment to service. Specifically, the company provides customers with cost options and construction analysis early in the design process, and works proactively from preconstruction through construction to ensure it foresees any potential problems well ahead of time. “Our customers do not want surprises,” G.E. Johnson says. “Our proactive approach during both preconstruction and construction keeps the entire team abreast of potential issues with the goal of eliminating them entirely – no surprises.” The company, whose portfolio includes more than $3 billion of completed projects ranging from $10,000 to $130 million, says it is big enough “to do the job” but small enough to listen. “Our customers expect to be a part of the decision-making process,” it explains. G.E. Johnson focuses on luxury establishments, including spas, hotels, resorts and high-end condominiums. “These projects typically require the delivery of a high level of finish quality while maximizing the aesthetic value for the allocated construction dollar,” the company explains. “Our ability to satisfy the owner’s expectations on these projects is directly related to how successfully we solve the challenges of working in this unique environment.” The company says it is a large contributor to Colorado’s reputation for world-class resorts because it builds more high-end resorts in the state’s Rocky Mountains than any other contractor – about 50 percent of all resorts in the mountain communities. Manor Vail G.E. Johnson was forced to strategize the use of just one conventional crane and two tower cranes for the project, in order to accommodate the steel erecting sequence. Crane and delivery access were compromised due to a relatively small site and a parking garage also being built. The company set new tube steel columns next to the existing building to support large girders to support the new floor framing for the entire building. “We exist to develop relationships, earn a reputation for unparalled construction services and provide teams of individuals dedicated to delivering results that exceed expectations,” the company declares. “We offer a variety of construction related services that provide owners and designers with the information to make informed decisions, and constructing facilities to meet their business objectives. At G.E, Johnson Construction Company, we conduct our business with the vision of being your contractor of choice.” The company offers a variety of services, including preconstruction, self-perform work, special projects and subcontractor prequalification. GE Johnson says its purpose transcends business transactions and even the buildings it constructs. “We are not just building buildings,” the company states. “We are building a great company. We are building opportunities for people who wish to excel in careers in construction. We are building strong relationships with customers and our many project partners. We are building the very communities in which we live. At G.E., Johnson Construction, the energy is building.” |
